Refund & Cancellation Policy

Bobtail Enterprises, LLC is committed to delivering high-quality forestry and land-management services. Because of the nature of our work—including labor, equipment mobilization, and site-specific conditions—the following refund and cancellation terms apply.

1. Deposits

Some projects may require a deposit to secure scheduling, equipment, or materials.

  • Deposits are non-refundable once scheduling and mobilization have occurred, unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • If weather or safety conditions require us to reschedule, your deposit will be applied to the new service date.

2. Cancellations (Client-Initiated)

We understand plans can change. Clients may cancel work under the following terms:

 
Cancellation before scheduling:
  • No charge, and any deposit collected will be refunded.

 
Cancellation after the job is scheduled but before mobilization:
  • A mobilization fee may apply (typically covers planning, equipment prep, and crew scheduling).

 
Cancellation after crew/equipment are mobilized or on-site:
  • A minimum service charge or mobilization fee will be billed.

  • Deposits will not be refunded.

3. Refunds for Work Performed

Because forestry and fuels reduction services are labor- and equipment-intensive, refunds are handled as follows:

  • If work is completed according to the approved quote, no refund will be issued.

  • If the client is dissatisfied with the quality of work, Bobtail Enterprises will evaluate the concern and may:

    • Re-perform the work at no additional cost, or

    • Issue a partial refund only if the work was not completed as agreed.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Natural variations in terrain, vegetation, or regrowth

  • Client misunderstanding of scope after signing approval

  • Situations outside our control (weather, fire restrictions, access constraints)

4. Scope Changes

If the client requests additional work once the project has begun:

  • A revised quote will be provided

  • Additional charges will apply
    Refunds are not issued for work correctly performed under a revised or original scope.

5. Weather, Safety, or Emergency Delays

If we must delay or reschedule due to:

  • Severe weather

  • Equipment failure

  • Fire danger restrictions

  • Unsafe site conditions

  • Emergencies

Your payment or deposit will be honored on the rescheduled date.
Refunds are not provided for delays outside our control.

6. No-Show or Site Inaccessibility

If our crew arrives but:

  • The property is inaccessible

  • Locked gates prevent entry

  • Hazards were not disclosed

  • Client is unavailable for required site decisions

A mobilization or minimum service fee may be charged.

7. How to Request a Refund

Requests must be submitted in writing within 7 days of service completion.

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

8. Final Decision Authority

Bobtail Enterprises, LLC reserves the right to determine refund eligibility in accordance with:

  • The signed quote

  • The General Terms & Conditions for Services

  • Documentation of work performed
