Dying Cottonwood Removal – Bellevue Trailer Court

Bobtail Enterprise safely removed a 150-foot dying cottonwood at Bellevue Trailer Court in Libby, Montana. The tree had a 23-inch diameter trunk and featured a triple-forked top, along with two additional trees growing from the same stump, all of which required full removal.

Although the cottonwood was not directly over any homes, it stood within approximately 15 feet of a neighboring chain-link fence. Because of the tight proximity to the fence, the upper sections of the tree were rigged down in controlled pieces, while the remaining trunk was climbed and chunked down safely and systematically.

All slash was hauled to another part of the property for later disposal, with assistance from the property owner. Throughout the project, no chipper or heavy equipment was needed.

The removal was completed efficiently, safely, and without any damage to the client’s property or the neighboring lot. This project demonstrates Bobtail Enterprise’s ability to manage tall, compromised trees in confined spaces while maintaining safety and professionalism.
